Established in 1996 in the town of Pleven, as a sole proprietor company with main activity of wholesale trade of food, “Atlantic-Co” Ltd. grows and expands it’s range by opening warehouses in Plovdiv, Sofia and Varna, as well as an individually unit with sale representatives who serve the entire country with delivery to the client’s site.... In 2000 the company starts its own manufacture with a focus on the traditional for Bulgaria chutneys and canned vegetables. With the purchase of a production base in the town of Pordim, the capacity is extended and in 2005 the company is restructured into a sole joint limited liability company “Atlantic-Co” Ltd. After successful business negotiations supply contracts are signed with Western and national retail chains such as: CBA, Kaufland, Billa, Metro, T Market (Maxima Bulgaria) Promarket, Carrefour, Fantastico, etc. “Atlantic-Co” Ltd. gains a foothold in markets in Algeria, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Cyprus, Romania, Macedonia , etc., and implements successful export. Currently it continues to diversify and to expand the export destinations. The product list includes canned vegetables, sauces, chutneys, tomato puree, mustard, mayonnaise, jams, preserves, marmalades and toppings. They are characterized with excellent taste and competitive prices. “Atlantic-Co” Ltd. is one of the fastest growing companies in the food industry in Bulgaria. Management Systems and Standards The team of “Atlantic-Co” Ltd. approaches with outstanding responsibility to the quality and safety of the products. In this regard, since its establishment the company has been registered under the Food Law as a manufacturing site of canned vegetables and sauces, and later for canned fruit. Good manufacturing practices have been developed and used. They develop into a comprehensive system for managing food safety – HACCP/Hazard analysis and critical control points/. The system implements and maintains programs for monitoring, managing and minimizing the risks related to the safety of goods.... In 2013 FSMS /Food safety management system/ was audited and registered for compliance by the Intertek Certification Limited company and with the requirements of the international standard FSSC 22000: 2010, including the requirements of ISO 22000: 2005, ISO / TS 22002-1: 2009 and FSSC 22000.
