The Agroindustrial Business Unit is made up of three companies that revolve around the cultivation of cane, for the production of sugar, panela, biofuels and bioenergy. Our performance shows that the circular economy is possible, generating benefits for communities and the environment. The Ingenio Valdez was founded in 1884 by Rafael Valdez Cervantes in what is now the city of Milagro, in 1922, Compañía Azucarera Valdez SA was established in the city of Guayaquil, its owners being the successors of Rafael Valdez Cervantes. In 1992 it was acquired by the Noboa Corporation and it is from 1996 that the Nobis Consortium assumes its administration.
