Welde GmbH was founded in 1989 as a timber trading company by Ewald Welde and is located in Vienna/Austria. The main production unit is Welde Bulgaria AD, majority ownership of which was acquired during the privatization in Bulgaria. Through the years, Welde Bulgaria increased its capacity and diversified the product range to become a quality producer and supplier of an internationally recognized plywood brand. In 2004 and 2006 the Welde Group built two rotary-cut veneer factories – Lessoplast S.R.L. in Romania, and Eko Furnir in Serbia. They are an integral part of the group´s production chain. Proprietary trading companies in the Welde Group are Welde S.R.O. in the Czech Republic, Welde Romania S.R.L. in Romania and Lessocenter LTD in Bulgaria. In all other markets Welde is represetnetd by reputable local dealers, with whom the Welde Group nurtures a long-lasting and loyal relationship. (WELDE international).
